I have been practicing Reiki for about 3 years and it has had a tremendous effect on my life. Reiki forces us to purge the negative things out of our life so that we can become more balanced human beings and that is exactly what it has done for me. In my sessions, I have witnessed the power and felt the divine love of the Life Force Energy, and every time it amazes me! I love watching people grow and heal! What to expect - most people are very relaxed, less anxious and have more of a clear mind after a session. Inspiration - I am a survivor of 38 years of abuse that resulted in me almost ending my life. After that happened, everything changed. My spirituality grew and it taught me how to be a stronger, more confident person. It taught me how to protect myself and my energy! When my abuser became sick, I was asked to take care of him due to my having a medical background. That was the hardest thing I ever had to do! It was truly a humbling and life changing experience. I took care of him like he was my child and watched him suffer for a year & a half until he passed away. The entire time there was so many ways I could have helped him holistically with herbs, energy healing, sound healing etc., but because of his fragile state and strict religious background, I couldn't do any of that. My goal now is to help people in all the ways I couldn't help him. Also because of him, I am able to help other people work through the effects of being in an abusive situation.
